About Us
Wuhan Voltec Energy Sources Co., Ltd. is an experienced battery enterprise specializing in the research, development, manufacture and distribution of premium quality primary lithium and zinc-air batteries. Our company originally was an R&D division of Changjiang Battery Company, which was established in 1931. In the early 1980s, Changjiang Battery Company started R&D work for primary lithium batteries. The mass production was initiated in the late 1980s.
In 2001, Changjiang Battery Company spun off its R&D division and jointly ventured with investors from the United States to form Wuhan Voltec Energy Source Co., Ltd. Wuhan Voltec manufactures all types and models of lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2), lithium sulfur dioxide (Li-SO2) and lithium manganese dioxide (Li-MnO2) cylindrical batteries and wafer cells. More than 50% of our products are exported to North America and Europe.
Pursuing a business concept of "Quality First", ISO 9001:2000 quality management system was adopted to assure the quality of our products. Majority of our products have UL and CE certifications. Our assembly lines and ISO9001 quality management system are certified by the Chinese Military Authority. We also have a fully equipped environment and reliability testing center to assure our products meet military specifications.
