About Us
Both Beijing Zhongkexin Electronics Equipment Co., Ltd and Hunan Red Sun New Energy Science & Technology LTD. are subsidiaries company of Forty-Eight Institute of CETC. Forty-Eight Institute of CETC was founded in 1964, located in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, covering 150,000 square meters. We totally have 774 staff members, including 19 research professors, 94 senior engineers, 235 engineers and 19 outstanding specialists, who are given special subsidy by the government. We are a national-class organization of developing and producing microelectronics, photoelectron, solar cells, power electronics and magnetic material equipment. After striving for several decades, we have become a main supplier of semiconductor and photoelectron material equipment, one of the biggest suppliers of solar cell manufacturing equipment and electronic industrial kilns and furnaces in China. We are the national research and development center and industrialized base of ion implanters, research and development base of thin film pressure sensors and SIMOX SOI materials, demonstration producer of crystalline silicon solar cells, supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Hunan Province and Beijing Municipal Government.
Since our foundation, our institute is always the pacemaker in this industry. More than 120 projects have won the awards of significant science and technology achievements, among which 25 items filled the blank in the country, 36 items reached the advanced level at home and abroad, and 112 items listed as alternative ones for imported products. We have been awarded with prizes by the province and ministry, including some state invention prizes and some state scientific and technical progress prizes. Our products have been exported to 13 countries and areas, such as Europe, America, West Asia and Singapore, scattered in 29 provinces and cities in China, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan area.
We expand our business aggressively. In 2006, we set up a 25MW solar cell production line and a 25MW solar module production line in Beijing. Two more lines, each with 25MW capacity were finished in Changsha in 2007. And in the middle of 2008, we already finished another 100MW production lines in our head office of Changsha. We aim to reach 200MW capacity in 2009. Also, we have planned to invest a world-class PV science and technology project centre in the Eleventh Five Year Plan.
